Dutchie Benson was a classmate of mine from fourth grade through high school. She was always a good friend at Oakwood Elementary, though later, at Thomas Jefferson and CHS, I saw little of her. She passed away at sometime prior to the 2002 reunion, but I never heard what had happened. I still think about her sometimes and wonder about that, and mourn her passing.
