Contact David Hague directly if interested.

CHS ’62 classmates – We have four opportunities to get together in Charleston in August.

1) Thursday, 11 August:  Meet at 6:00 PM at Adelphia Sports Bar & Grill, 222 Capitol Street.

2)  Friday, 12 August:  Enjoy food, drink, and baseball on the Budweiser Party Deck at Appalachian Power Park at 7:00 PM.  Primo viewing, abundant food and drink, easy parking, and pretty good Class A baseball.  Commitments are needed -- please let me know if you are going.   Cost is $30 when you arrive. (Our event is separate from the All-class event being held at the ballpark at the same time, but in a different location.)

3) Visit and wander around Horace Mann Junior High from noon to 3:00 PM on Saturday, 13 August.  If enough of us show up, the Horace Mann cooks will feed us.  Please let me know if you will be there.

4) Dine, dance, and mingle at the all-class Reunion at the Civic Center, 6:00 PM – 1:00 AM on Saturday/Sunday, 13/14 August.  Tickets obtained at www.charlestonwvciviccenter.com  are required for the All-class reunion.  Dinner, “Metro CHS Band” performance, dance band, group pictures.  Each class has its own table(s).

The mixer on Thursday and All-class Reunion on Saturday are for sure.  Getting together at the ballpark on Friday and at Horace Mann on Saturday will depend on how many of our classmates tell me they will be there.

This is not a full-blown reunion like our Charleston classmates organized in 1972, 1982, 1992, 2002, and 2012.  Continuing praise and appreciation to those classmates.

CHS ’62 Classmates - change of plans,

The presence of too many people from other groups on the ball park party deck has forced a change of venue.   Instead, on Friday, 12 August, we will meet and mix at 5:30 PM at the Athletic Club (the pub on the lobby level of the Embassy Suites).

Other class events remain the same.   Thursday, 11 August meet at 6:00 PM at Adelphia Sports Bar & Grill, 222 Capitol Street; Saturday, 13 August, visit and wander around Horace Mann from noon to 3:00 PM; and, the all-class reunion at the Civic Center, 6:00 PM – midnight on Saturday, 13 August.

There are plenty of places for dinner in downtown, including the Athletic Club.  Live on the Levy, with the Shane Reunion Band and headliner, the Joseph Sisters is at the Haddad Riverfront Park from 6:30-9:30 PM.
